In ways that are quirky and often humorous, my creative work intertwines theatre and dance that crafts characters, investigates relationships and assembles narratives that break the 4th wall. I am interested in using gestural based contemporary dance to bring themes of societal struggles to the stage while using a comedic edge.
Who is she?
Keely Cobb is a choreographer, performer, and producer based in Los Angeles, pursuing an MFA in Producing at CalArts. She serves as Creative Producer for MashUp Contemporary Dance Company and is the founder of Around the Stage | Reno's Theatrical Dance Company. A seven-time Nevada Arts Council grant recipient and 2020 Artown Commissioned Artist, Keely has choreographed, directed, and produced multiple dance works, music videos, and theatre productions, with her work featured at festivals like Dog Days of Summer Dance Festival and Cleveland Dance Festival. She has performed nationally, collaborating with numerous artists and companies.
As a professional dancer, Keely has performed with Rosie Trump | Future Moves, BLV Productions, and Karen Burns Productions.
